Mr. Chris told Oscar he was a wicked thief today.

He’s right.  Oscar is a dirty rat bastard thief (don’t blame the kids for the language – it’s the parents).  Sometimes he even steals my toys.  And I am Gus.  That’s some nerve.  Today Mr. Chris went on a mission because while mama was pooping on the toilet, Oscar snuck in and stole one of her earrings right off the vanity.  Then he probably tossed it about in the living room until he lost it to one of the toy eaters (the places that seem to gobble up toys until Mr. Chris rescues them).  So Mr. Chris was on a mission to find the earring, and along the way found some of mama’s hair ties Oscar stole too (in fairness to Oscar, the pink ones and that furry one are actually his).
